TIRING of your New Year resolutions fitness routine already?

Light Williams
with her ``Bold brights [who] are perfect
for getting you noticed in the gym``
This week the online sun tries to motivate all the fit-January readers to carry on with their exercising instead of giving up. ``A locker full of stylish gym gear could be just the boost you need for sticking to your New Year resolutions.´´ is one sentence their used to motivate us readers. This a advertising article and the reader response is that they’re going to buy new sport gears hoping that it would help them to carry on. ``Be the best dressed on the treadmills as LEIGH WILLIAMS shows you how to go for the burn while looking smokin’ hot.´´. I would say the target audience for this article were young female reader, because their care usually more about what their look like. I don’t like it that their aspect that we have the look hot during we are sweating. In my opinion this is a bad stereotypical representation of a perfectionistic version of a women. It’s sexist to say that we have to look hot when we are working out. All the added advertising pictures are just showing the female model LEIGH WILLIAMS in different generous sport outfits. The title of the article is `` Fit for a catwalk: Stand out in stylish gear while you work up a sweat´´ and I think this is for example a reason why so many young girls get anorexia because the media tells them that their have to fit in size 0 and look like a model.

Week 3

Winter's lowest temperature recorded in Kinbrace

Today I red the BBC News report about the lowest Temperatur record this winter. This moring at 9:00AM the temperature in Kinbrace in Sutherland dipped down to -12,4 degrees what makes the coldest day of the winter so far. This cold spell has already brought ice and snow to large parts of Scotland which gave five of Scotland's mountain snowsports centres the opportunity to open skiers and snowboarders. This report is not representing any kinds of stereotypical representation but it cause a audience response. We start to think about the Klima and our environment. I personally start to ask my self how to understand this temperatures when i think about the global climate warming. I actually don't really understand why their reporting about this and I think their just do it because its a extrem happening.  Its a record and so it has to be published but practically its not impotent to report this temperature.

Week 2

David Bowie dies of cancer aged 69

Crowds of fans have gathered in tribute to Bowie
at a mural in his birthplace of Brixton,
south London painted by street artist James Cochran, aka Jimmy C
All the news talked about the big loss of David Bowie.
David Bowie changed music forever with, his style, that powdery voice and his self-written lyrics. He was different, an alien, a sexually ambiguous spectre. The BBC online report about his death is really long and detailed. To make it more visual you can see added pictures, videos and statistics.
I think the media is reporting so much about it, because he played a very strong part in British musical history. All his fans lamenting about the loss and he was a iconic personality. I don’t think that you have to be so specific and I think the media is using this natural sad happening to lead the attention of the popularity away from unnatural happenings.
